Visiting Peles Castle & Bran Castle within a day

We visited 2 castles within a day when in Romania. Both were iconic and outstanding attractions to visit in vastly differently ways - Peles Castle (inaugurated in 1883) served mainly as a luxurious royal residence and its interior is awash with opulence, consisting of 160 rooms embellished with the finest examples of European art.

Bran Castle (built in 1377), on the other hand, took on a variety of roles throughout its older history including a medieval fortress. Consisting of 57 rooms connected by winding stairways and underground passages, there was unmistakably gloomy atmosphere within this castle, probably due to its wide association with the Dracula myth 🧛♂️
