Things to know before you visit the Colosseum

If you come to Rome, you should definitely visit the Colosseum, a World Heritage Site!
Be sure to reserve your tickets in advance (the official website is the cheapest) and enter on the day with the QR code on your smartphone.
There are limited numbers of tours with the underground area, so if you're interested, make sure to reserve early!

The recommended time is from 8:30am or early evening (4pm to 5pm).
I went on a weekday from 8:30am! The light was beautiful and there were not many people, so I was able to take lots of photos. Photos look more impressive if you have a wide-angle lens!
The inside is surprisingly spacious, so if you want to take your time looking around, you should set aside 1.5 to 2 hours👍

There are a lot of pickpockets in the area, so I recommend carrying your bag in your front or using a waist pouch.
You can also enter the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill with the same ticket, so it's efficient to visit them together◎

Location📍: Piazza del Colosseo, 1, 00184 Roma RM, Italy
3-minute walk from Colosseo Station on subway line B
Opening hours🕒: 8:30-19:15 (may vary depending on the season)
