Weihai in July and August is really not recommended because it’s just too~~

🌊【Recommended Attractions: Must-Visit TOP 3 in July】

Weihai is not just about the sea! The spots I picked combine history and nature, perfect for summer~👇

1. Liugong Island Scenic Area🏝️: Coming to Weihai without visiting here is like not coming at all! Island scenery + the First Sino-Japanese War Museum, stroll along the shaded paths to feel the tragic history~ I enjoyed an early morning visit, the sea breeze is great for cooling off 🎫 Ticket 122 RMB (book in advance on Trip.com).

2. Weihai International Seawater Bathing Beach🏖️: Free beach🏄‍♂️, not crowded in July, clear water and fine sand~ Go after 3 PM to avoid sunburn, perfect for stunning sunset shots! Personal tip: bring an umbrella for sun protection~

3. Chengshantou Scenic Area⛰️: The "Oriental Cape of Good Hope" lives up to its name! Watch the sunrise over the sea🌅 (arrive before 5 AM), combined with the relics of Emperor Qin’s eastern tour~ The hiking trails are cool and easy~ Ticket 148 RMB, totally worth it!

🗺️【Travel Route: 3-Day Leisure Itinerary】

My lazy route, combining attractions + culture, relaxed pace without rushing~👇

• Day 1: Slow city tour🌆

Arrive in the morning —> check in at a guesthouse near the seawater beach —> bike ride in the seaside park (free, the sea breeze is super healing) —> seafood dinner at dusk (recommend “Street of Food Stalls,” very affordable).

• Day 2: In-depth tour of Liugong Island🚢

Take the ferry at 8 AM —> First Sino-Japanese War Memorial Hall (a must for history buffs 🇨🇳) —> hike to Donghong Battery —> return in the afternoon, stop by Huancuilou Park (historic site photo op 📸).

• Day 3: Chengshantou sunrise + return🌄

Depart at 4:30 AM for Chengshantou —> watch the sunrise + check in at the “End of the Sky” —> return after lunch (15 minutes by car to the high-speed rail station). Personal advice: don’t pack too much, hide indoors in museums when it gets hot in July~

🍜【Food Recommendations: Loved by Locals】

Weihai seafood is the soul! 🦐 I personally tested, no misses~

• Must-try dishes: Steamed sea cucumber (fresh, sweet, and tender 🍽️), mackerel dumplings (thin skin, big filling 💥), grilled scallops at night market~ All for about 60 RMB per person!

• Food spots: City’s “Tashan Seafood Night Market,” lively and full of local flavor at dusk~ Avoid overpriced restaurants in tourist areas.

🏯【History & Culture: Learn as You Go】

Weihai is more than just sea views~ Liugong Island holds stories of the First Sino-Japanese War, Chengshantou has traces of Emperor Qin’s footsteps 🎭~ I listened to guides on the island, feeling the changes of history~ In July evenings, stroll the old town alleys, casually snap vintage buildings, full of cultural vibes~
