25-day in-depth tour of Türkiye | Ottoman towns that you can't miss | Safranbolu, a relaxing and fun city

Compared to the busy world capital Istanbul, the simplicity of Safranbolu City represents another extreme of Türkiye. The buildings, full of Ottoman characteristics, are like small red boxes piled up all over the hill. Any corner is full of Turkish style📸

There are all kinds of small shops on the street. Even if you just browse without buying anything, you can still find a lot of fun~
Of course, it is strongly recommended to buy souvenirs or gifts here.
For example, Turkish delight, handmade soap and spices like saffron 🌺
The price is really not much cheaper than other tourist hotspots! 🫣

Safranbolu is even more lively after nightfall. Locals and tourists who have finished a day's work gather in various restaurants to enjoy Turkish coffee, connect with friends, or sing and dance with the resident band.

We had our first cup of Turkish coffee here ☕
📍Store name: @arasta_kahvesi_1661

This is a very famous century-old shop. The semi-open-air seats are decorated with various handmade lamp strings and pendants. You can also watch the staff brew coffee on the hot sand. The atmosphere is directly maximized 👍🏻

The first time I didn’t know how to drink it, I thought the white semi-solid in the cup was to be added to the coffee as sugar. The second time I saw the correct way for the locals to drink it, it turned out to be directly stirred and dissolved in water 😅 (so embarrassing..

A cup of Turkish coffee, coffee grounds account for 50%
The taste is mellow, you can choose to cook with or without sugar
Adding sugar will reduce the bitterness, which is suitable for friends who don't drink coffee often.
It also comes with a glass of juice (mulberry juice or berry), a glass of special spiced water (with a little ginger flavor) and a few Turkish delights.
Only 50₺💸

Finally, it is worth mentioning the hotel we stayed in:
📍@guneskonakotel

The view from the balcony is amazing!
Rich traditional Turkish breakfast is served daily
I also learned how to eat bread with honey butter, which is a local way🍯🥯🧈

The boss and the aunts made us experience the warmth and hospitality of the Turkish people for the first time, and they drove us to the station when we left🫂
Later I found out that I forgot to take the straw hat, and they took the trouble to help me mail it back. I am really grateful to them🥹

The boss said: Saffron City is also very beautiful when it snows in winter! Welcome everyone~

A little note:
Most hotels in Safranbolu do not provide air conditioning 🙅🏻
Open the window at night and let the mountain breeze blow. It is very cool even in August and September. ️⛰️🌬️

But remember to go to bed early‼ ️
Otherwise the lights will attract friends of nature to come in and play with you.
(Don’t ask me why I know it.)

In the next article, I will show you the surrounding attractions of Safranbolu City.
Collect it now before it is discovered by the public!
