The one and only temple that enshrines Koyasu Daishi (Kobo Daishi holding a baby) due to auspicious origins (^ ^) Kobo Daishi is said to have left secret methods for safe childbirth, child rearing, substitutes, and women's enlightenment at the temple. This is why Koenji Temple is called "Koyasu's Kobo Daishi" (^^)
And it is said that Koenji Temple was founded by Prince Shotoku (574-622) to pray for the peace of mind of the 31st Emperor Yomei's illness.
