An afternoon at the Petropavlovskaya fortress in Saint-Petersburg

My afternoon began at the spacious Cathedral Square, dominated by the famous Peter and Paul Cathedral. After admiring its golden spire, I embarked on a lovely walk along the fortress walls. The path soon led me to the charming bronze monument of Peter the Great, seated thoughtfully. Continuing my stroll, I was fortunate to have truly beautiful weather with a clear blue sky. The surrounding streets and historic buildings looked particularly splendid in the sunlight. Throughout the grounds, I kept spotting the cute hare sculptures that are the symbol of this area. These little hares statues added a playful touch to the historical setting. It was a perfectly balanced and memorable afternoon in St. Petersburg.
