Saipan's Final Battlefield

The northern tour of Saipan is accessible if you can drive a rental car, allowing you to explore on your own. Here’s a spot that made me stop and take notice.

This location, known as the final battlefield of Saipan and the last headquarters of the Japanese army, features the 'Korean Peace Memorial Tower' with the Korean flag waving proudly. You can also see old bunkers and cannons that were used during that time.

Today, the echoes of gunfire have faded, leaving only vibrant flowers and swaying green trees in their place.

⚘ Tip: Since it’s on the way from Banzai Cliff to Suicide Cliff, it’s recommended to tour in the following order: Bird Island - (Kalabera Cave) - Banzai Cliff - Japanese Last Command Post - Suicide Cliff.
