The first thing I felt when I visited Daisen Kofun was its overwhelming "silence". While I was surprised by the scale of the world's largest keyhole-shaped tumulus, its presence was so quiet that I got the impression that "time" itself was asleep.

You can't go inside directly, but that only deepens the mysticism. By thinking about things that cannot be seen, I felt like I was getting closer to history. While living in the present, I was able to think about the activities of people more than a thousand years ago - such time leaves a deep impression on my heart.

Daisen Kofun is not just a ruin, but a place where people's thoughts and culture continue to live beyond time. It may be a place to go for "conversation" rather than sightseeing.
