A Hidden Art Oasis Just Outside Tokyo 🎨🌿

#hellohalloween

If you’re looking for a peaceful day trip from Tokyo that combines art, nature, and a touch of Karuizawa-like charm, head to the DIC Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art in Sakura, Chiba. Just a free shuttle ride from Sakura Station, this museum is a true hidden gem surrounded by lush greenery and serene forested paths.

Even before reaching the museum, the journey through the woods feels magical—like stepping into a quiet resort town. Once you arrive, take time to explore the beautifully maintained garden. During my visit, the fresh green leaves were shimmering in the sunlight, and a graceful swan glided across the pond, adding to the idyllic scene.

Inside the museum, photography is mostly restricted, except for certain areas like the entrance hall and part of the second floor. One room stood out to me in particular—it showcased artworks against the backdrop of a panoramic green landscape. The view outside was so breathtaking that it looked like a painting itself.

This museum offers a perfect blend of modern art and tranquil nature. It’s a must-visit for anyone seeking inspiration or a relaxing escape from the city.
