Sakura City has a long history dating back to the Kamakura and Muromachi eras. Clan leaders lived here and many historical events took place. Now in this small town in the northeast of Chiba, you can look at ancient buildings and admire the beauty of nature.

The National Historical Museum of Japan (Kokuritsu Rekishi Mindzoku Hakubutsukan) is located in Sakura, where the history of Japan from ancient times to the present is presented in seven expositions.
There is also one of the most important art museums in Japan, the DIC Kawamura Memorial Art Museum. His collection includes thousands of works by 20th—century artists, Japanese and foreign, including Picasso, Chagall, Magritte and Rothko.
Dutch Style
The Sakura area is replete with the beauties of nature. There is a famous Dutch-style windmill here. More than 70 species of Sakura tulips can be seen at the festival. Next to Sakura is Inba Lake with hiking trails and Sunset Hills, a famous place to admire the sunset.
