Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art

The Kawamura Memorial DIC Museum of Art is a museum built in 1990 by DIC Corporation (formerly Dainippon Ink & Chemicals) in Sakura City, Chiba Prefecture. It displays a collection of artworks collected by three generations of the Kawamura family, including Kijuro Kawamura.

The museum building was designed by Ichiro Ebihara, a representative architect of postwar modernism, and was built to harmonize the three elements of "artwork," "architecture," and "nature." The permanent exhibition features a wide range of works, from Rembrandt and French Impressionism to Dada, Surrealism, and Japanese contemporary art.

For first-time visitors, we also recommend the guided tours offered by the museum.
