Ogami Shrine with the divine body of Miwayama

Okami Shrine is the oldest shrine in Japan. Its founding can be traced back to 91 BC (legend has it that it was the 7th year of Emperor Sujin). It enshrines "Omononushi Okami", who has a deep connection with Okuninushi, and is a very early god in Japanese mythology. The most special thing is that Okami Shrine did not build a "main hall", but regarded the entire Miwa Mountain itself as the main hall. The sacrificial method is simple and sacred, which also gives it a very high status in Japanese religion.
There is an elevator on the left side of the way to facilitate people with limited mobility to go to the worship hall. There is also a "worshiper lounge" for worshipers to rest. There are tea, vending machines, and even ice cream cones inside, which are rare and considerate facilities for me.
