After the Rain Coffee & Gallery is located along a bustling road in Bangkok, with its entrance surrounded by lush greenery, making it feel like a hidden gem in nature. The signboard is almost engulfed by the greenery. This café is perfect for escaping the city's hustle and bustle and enjoying a tranquil afternoon.
To get here from Bangkok's city center, taking a taxi is recommended. The journey takes about 35-50 minutes, and it's smoother if you avoid peak hours. Do note that traffic can be heavier during weekday rush hours.
For any food, snacks, or fruit orders, if you spend at least 100 THB per person, you can enjoy a complimentary boat ride. If you don't plan to purchase food or drinks, the boat ride alone costs 100 THB per person. Unfortunately, it was raining on the day of the visit, so boating and photo opportunities were missed.
The riverside seating area of the café is highly popular, offering both Japanese and Thai-style seating options. Both areas provide serene river views. There are also other regular seating areas available, catering to those who wish to be closer to nature or prefer the quiet indoors, offering a variety of dining experiences.
Two dishes were ordered: grilled pork rice noodles and Thai-style stir-fried noodles, along with drinks: hot Americano and butterfly pea lemon juice. Surprisingly, both dishes turned out to be delicious, and the butterfly pea lemon juice was also very refreshing.
💰 Average cost per person: Grilled pork rice noodles THB 125, Thai-style stir-fried noodles THB 165
📍 Address: 45 8, Song Khanong, Sam Phran District, Nakhon Pathom
🕰️ Opening hours: 08:30-18:00, closed on Wednesdays
