This Chinese temple is located in a serene area by the Tha Chin River in Nakhon Pathom Province. The entrance shares the same route as Wat Rai Khing from Borommaratchachonnani Road.
The highlight of the temple is the statue of Phra Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, carved from granite and standing 13.99 meters tall, imported from China. It is accompanied by sculptures of the entourage of King Yama paying homage to Phra Ksitigarbha.
Another significant feature is the relics of the Buddha, nine in total, bestowed by His Holiness Somdet Phra Nyanasamvara, the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand, which are enshrined in the urna of the large granite statue.
Visitors often come here to seek forgiveness for past mistakes or sins, to repent and vow not to repeat them. It is believed that karmic consequences can lead to suffering in hell, lack of success in life, poor health, nightmares, and unfulfilled wishes.
If you happen to be in Nakhon Pathom, make sure to visit this peaceful place. It’s incredibly serene and filled with positive energy. Highly recommended for a visit as there’s so much more to experience here.
