Relax by the sea, admire lotus flowers, and take a boat ride through mangroves
Stay at the Sam Roi Yot National Park accommodation near Sam Phraya Beach. The newly built house is spacious, equipped with air conditioning, and surrounded by shady pine trees.
For meals, you can rely on the welfare restaurant—it’s delicious!
Day 1: Arrive at the accommodation, take a stroll, and enjoy swimming in the sea.
Day 2: In the morning, visit Bueng Bua Sam Roi Yot. There’s a long bridge leading into the marsh and a tall observation tower offering a 360-degree view. You can either walk around or take a boat ride. The boat costs 500 THB per trip and accommodates up to 4 people.
Tip: Lotus flowers bloom seasonally, not year-round. If you want to see a lot of lotus flowers, check the Sam Roi Yot National Park Facebook page for updates. Even outside the lotus season, you can enjoy birdwatching with various species to admire.
Operating hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
✴️ Recommended: Visit in the morning when the sun is behind the mountains, making it shady for walking until around 9–10 AM (depending on the season).
In the afternoon, relax by the sea breeze (or retreat to your air-conditioned room if it’s too hot).
In the evening, take a boat ride along Khao Daeng Canal. Park your car at Wat Khao Daeng and enjoy the scenic mangrove forest, clear water, and wildlife such as birds, monkeys, mudskippers, and more.
The boat costs 500 THB per trip and accommodates up to 6 people. The ride lasts about 45 minutes.
Operating hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
Recommended: Go around 4:00 PM when the sun is setting, offering beautiful photo opportunities.
Day 3: Wake up early and walk towards the welfare restaurant. You’ll encounter a troop of spectacled langurs—adorable and fun to watch!
This is a short and relaxing seaside trip that offers more than just the beach experience. Highly recommended!
