Day 1: Arrive in Samut Sakhon, Eat!

Our journey to Samut Sakhon started off hectic, with a songthaew ride arriving at Tha Chalom in a daze. Along the way, we met new friends and unexpected excitement, making us feel like this trip was definitely going to be extraordinary! Upon arrival, we immediately headed to

Mahachai Market, renowned for its fresh seafood. We strolled along, munching on delicious treats, from large grilled prawns to fragrant grilled squid. And, of course, we couldn't miss the delicious food at Je Bang Pu Kai Dong (Jae Bang Pu Kai Dong).

Day 2: A Delicious Adventure

After recharging, we embarked on the next day's adventure! Today, we decided to head to

the City Pillar Shrine to pay our respects and make a wish. Then, we continued on to

Wat Pa Chai Rangsi, renowned for its tranquility and lush greenery. The highlight was getting lost along the way! Luckily, we met a kind aunt who showed us the way and led us to our destination.

After paying our respects, we continued on to the fishing village, where the villagers warmly welcomed us. We took a boat ride to observe the fishermen's way of life and learned how to prepare seafood. And we even had dinner with them! It was truly an experience like no other.

Day 3: Returning with unforgettable memories

Before leaving, we went for a stroll at

Khlong Khut Chao Mueang Floating Market. It still has its old-world charm, offering a wide selection of food and souvenirs, including traditional Thai desserts and processed seafood. We packed our bags! We also visited the mangrove forest, where we learned how to plant mangrove trees and preserve nature.

This trip to Samut Sakhon taught us many things and truly experienced its hidden charm. If you're looking for a destination that's more than just a shopping mall or a chic cafe, but also a place where you can get close to nature and the locals' way of life, Samut Sakhon is a great choice.
