Junzi Mountain, located at the junction of Datong, Longqing, and Wulong townships in Shizong County, Yunnan Province, covers approximately 50 square kilometers, with a central area of nearly 30 square kilometers. Standing at 2,409.7 meters above sea level, it is the highest peak in Shizong County. Junzi Mountain, shrouded in lush greenery and crisscrossed by streams and rivers, boasts a unique topography, creating a unique climate characterized by "four seasons on the mountain and two distinct seasons on the valley slopes," creating a vibrant and diverse natural landscape.
The natural scenery here is beautiful, with China's oldest rhododendron natural community and the world's geological wonder - the Junzi Mountain Scenic Area, where flowers are in full bloom, vast expanses of rhododendrons are stunning, rare and exotic trees are scattered throughout the mountains, and the plateau meadows are full of exotic atmosphere. The diversity of animal and plant species is concentrated here, and it is known as a natural garden, natural botanical garden, natural zoo, natural mushroom garden, and natural wild fruit garden.
Subtropical plateau monsoon climate; Junzi Mountain belongs to the high mountain gorge scenic area, and the climate of Qujing City where it is located is subtropical plateau monsoon climate. Influenced by the height and micro-topography, the climate types are diverse, with an average temperature of 14℃. It is like spring all year round, making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
The iconic landscapes of Junzi Mountain include six gardens and nine scenic spots. The six gardens are: the Natural Flower Garden, the Natural Botanical Garden, the Natural Zoo, the Natural Wild Fruit Garden, the Natural Wild Mushroom Garden, and the Natural Strange Stone Garden. The nine scenic spots are: the Millennium Cuckoo, the Drunken Red Ridge, the Black Pine Forest, the Ancient Ruins of the Deserted City, the Macaque Lake, the Junzi Peak, the Rare Forest, the Ten Thousand Flowers Spring, and the Mushroom Ridge.
