Sanjiang Family Trip|Stay in a Forest Cabin with Kids, Complete 3-Day 2-Night Nature Education Guide!

Just got back from Sanjiang, and my phone is full of photos of the kids laughing by the stream! This place is really perfect for bringing children close to nature! Sharing our 3-day 2-night itinerary, hoping to give some reference to parents planning to visit~

🏡 Accommodation Choice

We stayed in the "Forest Cabin" inside the scenic area, with mountain views right outside the window and birdsong to listen to. It’s recommended to book two weeks in advance. We stayed in a family room, which had special toiletries for kids—very thoughtful.

📅 Three-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive in the afternoon and check in, then visit the "Petting Zoo" to feed the little rabbits. In the evening, join the star-gazing activity organized by the guesthouse, with a very lively explanation from the instructor.

Day 2: Hike the "Emerald Canyon" in the morning, the trail is gentle and suitable for children. Have a picnic by the stream at noon, remember to bring some snacks. In the afternoon, try plant printing, the kids had so much fun.

Day 3: Wake up early to watch the sea of clouds, then go to the eco-farm to pick vegetables. Enjoy a meal made from the vegetables you picked at noon, and head back in the afternoon feeling satisfied.

🎒 Essential Items List

Children’s mosquito repellent and sunscreen

Portable picnic mat

Change of clothes (water play can get you wet)

Nature observation handbook and magnifying glass

💡 Practical Tips

The scenic area is quite large, it’s recommended to buy a sightseeing bus ticket. There is a big temperature difference between morning and evening, remember to bring a jacket. You can prepare a collection box for the kids to gather pretty leaves and stones.

After this trip, the kids learned about more than a dozen kinds of plants and made new friends. Compared to amusement parks, this kind of holiday is much more meaningful!
