Sanmenxia Museum

Sanmenxia, anciently known as Shan territory, got its name because Yu the Great split open three gates. Flanked by the Yellow River and bordering the Xiaohan Pass, it lies adjacent to the Central Plains and near the states of Qin and Jin, historically known as the 'lock and key of the two capitals.' This place is located on the southeastern edge of the Loess Plateau, with a unique environment, serving as the cradle of Chinese civilization and a continuously thriving land.
