When I went to Shaxian County, Fujian, I unexpectedly discovered that this place is not only a paradise for food,
It is a seriously underestimated tourist town.
Among them, the Shuimei Tubao Group gave me a great surprise.
As a national key cultural relic protection unit, it is really too low-key.
It was built by the local Zhang family to defend against bandits.
It was built during the Xianfeng and Tongzhi periods of the Qing Dynasty.
It is large in scale, covering an area of over 10,000 square meters.
The three earthen forts are in the shape of a Chinese character "品" and echo each other.
It forms a solid defense system with strong local characteristics.
What is even more rare is that the locals have preserved and repaired it very well.
Only then did I get to see its original appearance.
Such a great place is completely free.
It is really worth a visit.

✅Double Yuan Burger
Among the three forts, it is the best preserved and largest one. Construction began during the Daoguang period of the Qing Dynasty and took 13 years to complete. It covers an area of 6,500 square meters. Here you can deeply appreciate the ancient people's solid defense system. There is a tall castle gate on the outside, and you can't see what's inside from the outside. Only through the narrow door can you see the bright scene. There are several corner towers inside, which, together with the shooting holes on the second and third floors, can firmly resist external attacks. You can go upstairs, which is winding like a maze, where you can immerse yourself in the wisdom of the ancients.

✅Shuangxing Fort
This is my personal favorite fort. The whole building is like a flying bird landing on the golden rice fields. The ridges and roofs are layered, and its beauty can be felt even more when viewed from a distance. The buildings inside the fort are palace-style, spacious and bright overall. You can go directly to the second floor at the entrance and experience the internal structure of the fort in a surround way.

It is relatively small in size, and looking at Shuangyuan Fort from here is quite interesting.
