Beautiful Wuzhizhou Island

A must see on your trip to Sanya, Wuzhizhou Island boasts crystal clear blue green waters and soft white sand. Foreigners unfortunately cannot book online so you will not get the advanced reservation discount (about 40 RMB, not a huge amount but every little bit helps). Entrance fee includes roundtrip boat to and from the island. On very hot days I recommend the ticket for the shuttle (again no way for foreigners to book in advance so a little more ¥) as around the island has some very steep points and areas it is not recommend to walk. Swimming is only allowed in one small area due to slippery rocks and large waves. Many of the sites on the island are man made, created purely for Insta-style photos but it's worth the shuttle fee to look at them and move on. The hi light is definitely "lovers island" were you can see beautiful views of the rocks and ocean as well as many fish and sea life with the tide pools and viewing platforms. No shortage of things to play from para sailing to jet skiing and snorkeling to scuba diving. Beware this island can get expensive fast! Going to see and playing by yourself in the sand and sea is definitely enough if you're on a budget like us.
