Let's talk about some of the underrated and lesser-known towns and villages in Hainan (1/100)

After wandering around Yacheng this weekend, I discovered that it is a city with a lot of character. The ancient houses and buildings bear the marks of history, hidden in plain sight, which inevitably makes one slow down and savor the atmosphere.

Besides the ancient city of Yazhou, there is another easily missed village called Baoping Village. Walking through the streets and alleys to visit Baoping Book House and Baoping Historical and Cultural Museum is quite an experience. There are also some hand-painted murals on the walls of the alleys, which are very interesting.
