Beach serenity, Sanya

Sanya bay is a long stretch of beach, the West End of which is currently closed and has some construction. The vast majority of the beach is open and it is exactly what I want in a beach. Kilometers of clean flat sand with lines of palm trees giving shady spots for relaxing. There are some toilet blocks for changing with foot washing stations but other amenities like shops are very limited, so bring food and drink with you.

The beach was very quiet and didn't seem to have any lifeguards but there are no restrictions on swimming and the waves were great so we had a really fun time swimming around and then relaxing on the beach for hours.

In my opinion this is the best beach in Sanya, away from crowds and salespeople. Perfect hidden spot to relax in the sun.
