Hands-on Review of a Family Trip to Haitang Bay, Sanya! Fun-filled Kid-Friendly Activities from Morning till Night
Summer vacation is here, and with the scorching heat everywhere, it's time to head to the beach!
The promised family trip to Sanya is finally happening ✈✈

For this trip, we stayed at the 1 Hotel Haitang Bay Sanya 🏨
The adorable Duck-themed family pool room was a hit! Filled with cute duck elements, the balcony connects directly to the pool, and the little one had a blast splashing around—perfect quality family time 💯

Woken up by the sound of waves in the early morning, we joined the "Sunrise Ritual," stretching with a coach-led Baduanjin session. The sea breeze carried the scent of greenery, and surprisingly, the kiddo was even more focused than me, mimicking the moves with tiny hands—utterly adorable!

At noon, we headed to the "Green House Restaurant" for lunch 🥢 and tried their summer menu.
The appetizing chilled snow fungus with Yunnan tree tomatoes, the subtly sweet stewed pork ribs with dendrobium and bitter melon, and the showstopper—shrimp broth with apple luffa and mango clams—was so delicious we couldn't stop licking our fingers! The restaurant also offers a kids' menu with options like juice 🍹, mini beef burgers with fries, mashed potatoes, steamed minced pork with rice, veggie porridge, shrimp steamed egg custard, and dessert fruit bowls.
For families with infants, they provide nutritious and tasty baby food like purple sweet potato porridge, pumpkin porridge, lean meat porridge, and mashed veggies (🥗 pumpkin, potato, carrot, etc.). Super convenient!

In the afternoon, we took the little one to the beach for sandcastle fun until sunset, then rushed to the Sky Bar for golden hour! The bartender served us sustainable-themed cocktails 🍸—tangy and sweet—as we watched the sea melt into gold and red hues. The mix of electronic music and waves created an unbeatable vibe, and the kiddo couldn’t stop bobbing along happily.

Dinner at the Sky Bar featured healthy light bites. The fitness bowl with sirloin steak and soft-boiled eggs was a dream for health buffs, while the avocado chicken poke bowl with fragrant barley rice 🍚 got tastier with every bite. The homemade yogurt with blueberries was refreshingly light.

A leisurely and dreamy island holiday—this summer, bring your kids to Sanya and head straight to this spot!
