Summer Vacation in Sanya: A Perfect 3-Day Itinerary (With Photo Spots)

Sanya's scenery is truly breathtaking! Blue skies ☁️, white clouds 🌴, and lush greenery make it so comfortable and relaxing~
Here's how to arrange your 3-day trip for the best photo ops~

☀️ Day 1
✅ Take a boat to Xidao Island, rent an electric scooter to explore, return around 4 PM, and enjoy coconut chicken for dinner

▶️ Xidao Island is small and can be explored in a day. Renting an electric scooter makes it much easier
☑️ The popular coral wall is near the dock; ☑️ Snap a pic at the heart-shaped wall near Xidao Fishing Village; ☑️ Walk past the Sea Bookstore for the lonely tree & colorful boats; ☑️ Capture the vibrant Xidao wall at Tianya Secret Realm
▶️ For dinner, try the coconut water + coconut milk hotpot base at Diadia's Coconut Chicken. Freshly cut coconuts are incredibly sweet, and the coconut milk is rich and fragrant (We loved this place so much we visited 3 times during our trip!)

☀️ Day 2
✅ Visit Dadonghai in the morning, have fermented sour soup hotpot for lunch, snap pics at the Golden Pineapple landmark, watch sunset at Luhuitou, and enjoy seafood for dinner

▶️ Arrive early at Dadonghai to avoid crowds
☑️ Photograph the seaside window; ☑️ Walk down the stairs by the window and lean on the seaside railing; ☑️ Take pics with the giant pink bow at Lan Café; ☑️ Find a quiet spot and run from the sea to the shore for great portrait shots
▶️ Lunch at Taiqiong Fermented Sour Soup Hotpot was amazing! The half-spicy, half-mild broth is kid-friendly and super appetizing
▶️ The pineapple-shaped Golden Pineapple mall is unique—worth a quick photo if passing by
▶️ Luhuitou is perfect for sunsets! Free entry, 28 RMB/person for shuttle bus—effortless "mountain climbing" with panoramic Sanya views
▶️ Dinner at No. 87 Fishing Boat Seafood Market: Hainan black pepper crab noodles are divine! The noodles soaked in sauce are absolutely incredible!

☀️ Day 3
✅ Explore Tianya Town in the morning, lunch at a local café, visit Tianya Haijiao (Edge of the Earth) & sunset viewing in afternoon, end with fragrant herb duck dinner

☑️ Their cave-style first-floor windows are extraordinary—every shot turns out great!
▶️ Tianya Haijiao is a must-visit landmark 🆓 Free entry, choose shuttle or walk (flat path, short distance—walking is fine)
🌴 No queues for neck tree photos at Tianya Haijiao‼️
▶️ Dinner at Hupo Fragrant Herb Duck—their wok-cooked dishes are phenomenal! Also try their special coconut ice congee 🥥 Rich coconut flavor, icy cool—perfect for the weather!

⚠️ Tips:
⭕️ Always wear sunscreen and bring a sun-protective jacket!
⭕️ Pack extra clothes for kids at beaches—they'll inevitably get wet playing
⭕️ Xidao round-trip boat + ticket: 95 RMB/person (book at least 1 hour in advance!)
⭕️ Must-try Sanya foods: coconut chicken, fermented sour soup hotpot, seafood, fragrant herb duck—these restaurants were our favorites!
