Sun Bay, even more beautiful than Yalong Bay, has strong winds and waves in winter, but the seawater is very beautiful, especially the scenery viewed from Sun Bay Road, perfect for photos❗

🚗Transportation: Self-driving or renting an electric scooter

Self-driving: Parking is prohibited along the entire Sun Bay Road🚫. Previous guides said you could park for seven minutes, but that’s no longer allowed. You can navigate to: Sanya Sun Bay Park Hyatt Hotel (Northwest Gate). On the right is a parking lot for private vehicles with security guidance, 5 yuan per hour. From the parking lot, go straight ahead to the small path leading to Sun Bay. To walk along Sun Bay Road, exit the parking lot and turn left.

Electric scooter: There are many electric scooter rentals in Yalong Bay, and some have sidecars that can seat a family of three, which looks very fun. You can probably book in advance on Taobao or Xianyu. Riding an electric scooter on Sun Bay Road is more convenient because you can stop anytime (watch out for traffic). To get to the Sun Bay beach, you still need to park the vehicle in the parking lot.

Note: In winter, Sun Bay has strong winds and big waves, so it’s not suitable for swimming, but the sand is very fine. Be sure to use sun protection.
