
Wuduo Mountain, located in Sikeshu Township, Nanzhao County, Henan Province, is a major area in the Nanyang Funiu Mountain Global Geopark. It is a national AAAA -level tourist destination and a renowned Taoist cultural destination in the Central Plains. It boasts four major tourist areas : Jiulong Lake for water activities , Baopu Gorge for leisure and play , Wanfu Palace for incense burning and blessing, and Wuduo Peak for panoramic views.
The scenic area boasts lush forests, picturesque waters, gushing waterfalls and springs, jagged rocks, and diverse landforms, all accentuated by the lingering sounds of nature. The peak wall and pothole landscapes are the hallmarks of the Wuduoshan Tourist Area and the most representative landscapes of the Nanyang Funiushan Geopark. Over 200 scenic spots are strategically arranged throughout the area, forming a seamless tour loop.
Wuduo Mountain is named after the five granite peaks with an altitude of more than 1,000 meters that stand in a row within 3 kilometers along the north-south line. On a clear day, the majestic Wuduo Mountain can be seen from the Erguang Expressway 23 kilometers away. Therefore, the Erguang Expressway opened Wuduo Mountain Station in 2007. This is the first highway toll station in Henan named after a scenic spot.
Guo Yi, a painter in the Song Dynasty, praised Wuduo Mountain as " Eastern Duo is like the seat of Mount Tai, Western Duo is like the standing Mount Hua, Central Duo is like the lying Mount Song, and Northern Duo is like the moving Mount Heng " ; Er Yuehe, a famous writer, praised Wuduo Mountain as " mysterious and interesting " . It is praised as " a picturesque landscape, a fairyland of Funiu " and " the most blessed place of spiritual water in the Central Plains " .
