🌊Sanya Wuzhizhou Island|Speechless from the Blue! The Ultimate Island Experience Guide
Babes! Going to Sanya without visiting Wuzhizhou Island is a waste! The seawater is as blue as if filtered, and there are so many activities you won’t want to leave. This guide covers “how to play + how to shoot” thoroughly—follow it and you won’t go wrong~
✨Must-try Activities (ranked by experience!)
• Top Diving Spot: Choose “Coral Reef Diving”! You’ll see colorful corals and little fish. The instructor is super patient and will help you shoot underwater videos (extra cost but worth it!). If you’re afraid of sunburn, pick after 3 PM when the sunlight is softer and underwater visibility is high. Snorkeling also lets you see small creatures, very beginner-friendly~
• Island Electric Car Tour (a must!): Walking around the island is exhausting, so pick the “Premium Island Tour” (138 RMB/person). It takes you to less crowded spots like Sunrise Rock and Lover’s Valley! Especially the “customized” filming locations—seaside roads lined with coconut trees, every shot looks cinematic. The driver even stops for photos, super thoughtful~
• Thrilling Water Activities: Jet skiing is a must! Driving it yourself is super fun, and the sea breeze on your face is so refreshing; if you don’t want too much thrill, choose the “Flying Fish Boat”—moderate speed with splashing waves, your friends will scream with joy the whole time~
📸 Best Photo Spots (you can shoot amazing photos with your phone!)
1. White Sand Beach: Shoot from a low angle to capture the “sky + sea + beach” triple blue. Wear light-colored dresses (white, mint green), bring a straw hat or a transparent umbrella as props. Snap dynamic shots when waves come in, your friends will flood your social feed asking where this is!
2. Lover’s Bridge: Go at 5 PM for sunset shots! The reflection of the bridge and sea is stunning. Shoot silhouettes against the backlight (remember to turn on HDR), or stand by the bridge for side profiles with the sea breeze blowing your hair, the vibe is instantly perfect~
3. Sunrise Rock: Go early morning to catch the sunrise (6-7 AM). Golden light spills over the sea horizon. Capture “person + sunrise + blue sea” in one frame, no filter needed, it’s breathtaking. Few people there, no need to fight for spots~
4. Seaside Wooden Houses: The island’s white wooden houses have a strong Southeast Asian vibe. Stand on the balcony to shoot “coconut trees + blue sea + wooden house.” Wear a floral dress and instantly become a vacation influencer. Avoid noon time (light is too harsh and makes skin look darker)~
🚩Tips & Practical Guide
• Tickets & Transport: Buy combo tickets (admission + ferry 144 RMB) one day in advance on the official “Wuzhizhou Island Tourism Area” WeChat—cheaper and no queues! It’s a 1-hour taxi ride from Sanya city or take bus 28 (5 RMB/person). Avoid unlicensed taxis!
• Best Time to Visit: September to November! Avoid the summer peak season, fewer people and cooler weather. Don’t stay outdoors at noon (you’ll get sunburned). Do activities in the morning and take photos in the afternoon, perfect timing~
• Food Suggestions: Island restaurants are a bit pricey, bring some snacks and water (no glass jars). After leaving the island, go to the nearby seafood market—buy fresh and have it cooked on the spot, about 80 RMB per person to eat your fill~
• Outfit Tips: Wear light colors and skin-revealing clothes (makes you look fairer!), bring sunglasses, straw hats, and sunscreen (SPF50+). Choose beach shoes (don’t wear white sneakers, they’ll get ruined by seawater)~
Who gets it! Sitting by the sea on Wuzhizhou Island all afternoon never gets boring. The glowing blue sea really heals everything! Quickly grab your bestie or partner and rush over, miss it and you’ll wait a whole year~
