❤️Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art❤️ (北海道立近代美術館, Hokkaidō-ritsu Kindai Bijutsukan) The Hokkaido Museum of Modern Art opened in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan in 1977. The collection includes works by Jules Pascin, École de Paris, and modern Japanese artists. The museum opened in July 1977 in the center of Sapporo City with the concept of a comprehensive modern art museum that combines regionality and internationality. Since then, the museum has been carrying out activities such as collection and preservation, exhibition, education and dissemination, research, and promotion of local culture as a cultural base in Hokkaido, with the basic philosophy of “opening to the region and developing local art culture.” When I visited, there was a Chagall exhibition.
