Visit the pancake shop featured in the Japanese drama First Love

I was originally planning to try the nearby Happy Pancakes, but it felt a bit uncreative to eat the same thing every time I visit Japan, so I looked for other recommendations.

Sapporo Pancake & Parfait Last Mint is one of the filming locations for the Japanese drama FIRST LOVE. Although I haven't watched the drama, I came here because I thought the decoration looked very unique!

Although it was the weekend, we entered the store half an hour before closing time, so there were not many customers in the store and we didn't need to queue, but we couldn't sit there for too long.

As soon as you enter the store, a clerk wearing a cute light green uniform comes to show you to your seat. The different levels of green furniture and colorful tiles in the store create a retro atmosphere, and there are many delicate decorations suitable for taking beautiful photos for the Internet.

The English songs played in the store also follow an old-school style, although they remind you of Fallout (otaku).

Although the store name is Parfait on Google map, I don’t see any sundae on the menu. There is a sundae shop with a similar style on the first floor. I guess they sell different items separately. I would like to try it next time I have the chance.

🍎 Apple Caramel Muffin ¥1650

The muffins come in two sizes, four pieces (R) and two pieces (H). Since it was almost dinner time, I ordered the small portion (because I had to eat hamburgers later).

The slightly salty caramel sauce keeps the ice cream and apples from being too sweet, making them a perfect match. The apple-shaped cookie on top is made of puff pastry, which is a bit dry if eaten alone and needs to be added with ice cream.

When half an apple is cut open, it is filled with cream, which makes the taste more layered. I feel very satisfied after eating the whole portion. Fortunately, I didn’t order a large portion, otherwise I would not be able to finish dinner.
