Sapporo Noshikoen: An agricultural experimental park for cherry blossom viewing and spring outings.

Located in the Nishi Ward of Sapporo City, the Agricultural Experimental Park, known as Noshikoen, was built on the site of the former Hokkaido Agricultural Experiment Station. It is a popular cherry blossom viewing spot during Japan's Golden Week, mostly frequented by locals.

Noshikoen is conveniently close to Sapporo's city center. From Sapporo Station, you can take the JR Hakodate Main Line for just two stops to reach Kotoni Station, and then walk about 10 minutes to the park. This makes it an ideal destination for weekend outings and picnics. The park also features sports fields and a water park for recreational activities.

The park is home to around 250 cherry trees, including Hokkaido's unique Ezo mountain cherry blossoms and Somei Yoshino cherry blossoms. The blooming season typically peaks in late April to early May, offering a relaxing atmosphere for cherry blossom viewing.
