
Located in Haikou's Xiuying District, Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park is a national AAAA-rated tourist attraction in China, integrating scientific exhibitions on rare wild animals and plants, conservation and breeding, sightseeing tours, and leisure vacations. The scenic area covers over 1,500 mu (approximately 1,000 acres) and is home to over 100 species of exotic animals and birds, totaling over 3,000 individuals. Rare plants from 280 families and over 700 species are found, and the forest coverage rate reaches 99%. Hainan Tropical Wildlife Park and Botanical Garden is one of the largest wildlife parks in Hainan, established to conserve endangered species and promote ecological education. It combines tropical forest, botanical gardens, and animal exhibits, making it a key destination for nature lovers and educational trips.
The park is located in Haikou, Hainan Province, about 40 km from Haikou city center. Visitors can reach it by taxi or ride-hailing services from the city center, or by bus routes that connect Haikou’s main bus stations to the park entrance.
The park is typically open daily from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The best time to visit is during the cooler months from October to April to enjoy comfortable weather and active wildlife.
The standard entrance fee is approximately CNY 120 per adult. Tickets can be purchased online through travel platforms or directly at the park entrance.
Booking in advance is recommended during peak tourist season or holidays to secure entry and avoid long lines. Tickets can be booked a few days to a week in advance online.

Start with the botanical gardens, proceed to the primate and reptile sections, then take the safari shuttle for large mammals, and end with the bird aviary and souvenir areas.
