The final accommodation of the trip is at the Sapporo Tokyu REI Hotel. After taking a domestic flight from Akita Airport, I arrive at New Chitose Airport past 9 PM. I quickly exit the airport.
From Shin-Sapporo Station, I take the Tozai Line subway to Maruyama Koen Station, then take a taxi to the nearby Starbucks Reserve, arriving 30 minutes before closing time.
Hokkaido has three Starbucks Reserve locations: one in Asahikawa and two in Sapporo. With this visit, I’ve now been to all of them. Yay! 👏👏👏
I stay at Starbucks until 11 PM, then call a taxi to head to the Tokyu REI Hotel for check-in. At around 11:20 PM, I open the door to my room and settle in.
The reserved Standard Twin Room has been upgraded to a Superior Twin Room. However, the view is blocked due to exterior construction on the Nakajima Koen side of the hotel.
Since I plan to check out in just 8 hours, I decide not to change rooms and stay as is. Although the window is blocked, the room is spacious and offers good value for the price I paid.
The hotel is located in the heart of Susukino, but I opt to rest instead of going out. I go to bed around 1 AM, wake up at 6 AM, get ready, and head to breakfast. After checking out, I wait for a table as the restaurant is fully booked.
After waiting about 7 minutes, I’m seated. The restaurant is bustling, likely due to a group of package tour guests, as many are dressed in matching outfits.
Breakfast includes a variety of delicious options such as Japanese-style omelets, sashimi, grilled dishes, and roasted corn. Hokkaido’s milk is particularly tasty, so I make sure to have some with breakfast.
After breakfast, I head to Sapporo Station. The hotel’s location is convenient, just a 1-minute walk from Susukino Station, making it easy to catch the subway. Construction on the Odori Park side seems to have been completed. Thank you!
