Sapporo Susukino Sushi Omakase at Tenchijin

On the last night of my trip to Sapporo, I had a strong craving for sushi omakase. Two weeks before my trip, I made a reservation at Tenchijin, a highly-rated restaurant on Tabelog. The meal started with yellowtail, which had a delightfully chewy texture. This was followed by grilled Spanish mackerel, sweet shrimp sushi, mackerel with sesame sauce, amberjack brushed with onion soy sauce, sea bream sprinkled with salt, clams, salmon, sea urchin, octopus steamed in bonito broth, golden eye snapper, seaweed, and finally cucumber rolls. For an additional 3,300 yen, you can enjoy a sea urchin rice bowl, which comes with a generous portion of sea urchin and is highly recommended for its delicious taste.

Overall, the sushi rice had a tangy flavor and was slightly strong, so it might not appeal to those who prefer milder tastes.

Price: 15,400 yen per person, 3,300 yen for the sea urchin rice bowl
Location: Tenchijin
