🌷A visit to Wat Phra Borommathat Sawi in Sawi District, Chumphon Province, is a truly remarkable homage to this 700-year-old sacred site, one of the four sacred relics of the Gulf of Thailand. The golden chedi stands out beautifully, inspired by the Nakhon Si Thammarat Chedi, but on a smaller scale. It's bell-shaped and sits atop a two-tiered square base, decorated with alternating crouching elephant heads and giants holding batons. The temple grounds are clean, shady, and peaceful, perfect for praying and admiring the beauty of the ancient architecture. There's also the "San Phra Suea Mueang" Shrine and a museum, where visitors can learn about the temple's and community's rich history.
