Beijing perfectly blends history and modernity, and my first visit was nothing short of amazing. Here are the highlights of my trip:
Universal Studios Beijing: A thrilling start! The rides and attractions, especially the Harry Potter world and Transformers experience, were unforgettable.
Forbidden Palace: This magnificent historical site amazed me with its grand architecture and intricate details. Walking through its vast courtyards felt like stepping back in time.
Wangfujing Street: A bustling street full of life, offering everything from unique souvenirs to delicious local snacks. The candied hawthorn skewers were a must-try!
Qianmen Street: A mix of old and new, this charming area had a vibrant atmosphere, traditional architecture, and a great selection of local delicacies.
Badaling Great Wall via High-Speed Train: Visiting the Great Wall was the highlight of my trip. The train ride was quick and convenient, and the panoramic views from the Wall were awe-inspiring.
Temple of Heaven: A peaceful retreat surrounded by greenery. The ancient temple’s design was stunning, and watching locals practice tai chi made it even more special.
Yonghegong Temple: This Tibetan Buddhist temple offered a serene experience. Its ornate carvings and the massive Buddha statue left a lasting impression.
Wudaoying Hutong: Strolling through this cozy hutong was delightful. Its cafes, boutiques, and restaurants offered a glimpse of Beijing's local charm.
Sanlitun Soho: Modern and energetic, this district was perfect for nightlife and international dining. It was a lively way to end the day.
Manxin Tiantan Hotel: My stay here was exceptional. The hotel’s location near the Temple of Heaven was convenient, and its blend of modern comfort with traditional design was delightful.
Beijing amazed me with its rich history, vibrant streets, and warm hospitality. I left with unforgettable memories and a longing to return.
