Another Year in Seattle | A Date with Rainier in All Seasons

Seattle has a unique rhythm, part tech city, part historic port. Begin your afternoon at Pike Place Market, a maze of food stalls, flower vendors, and local artisans. Catch a fish being thrown, grab a bowl of chowder or a fresh crumpet, and listen to a busker’s melody echoing through the alleys.
From there, walk down to the waterfront. The path runs alongside Elliott Bay with open views, cafés, and the scent of salt in the air. It is the kind of place where you slow down naturally, watching ferries glide by or seals play in the distance.
End your stroll at Kerry Park, a small overlook with one of the most iconic views of Seattle, skyline in front, Mt. Rainier in the distance. Whether the sky is blue or moody, the city always knows how to show off.
Tips:
• Wear good shoes, the downtown area has some steep climbs
• Pike Place is less crowded earlier in the day or on weekdays
• Kerry Park is best just before sunset for golden city views
• Look for hidden gems inside the market like the Gum Wall or the lower levels
