Fishermen village in Sekinchan - a hidden gem

📍Address: Pantai Redang, Sekinchan

if you find paddy field in sekinchan is a bit mainstream, try visit this gem on the west coast! 🌊🌾 It may not have turquoise waters like the islands, but it has its own rustic charm, the breezy fishing village vibes, colorful wishing trees 🎋, and seafood galore around the small town.

✨ What I loved:
- Seeing the fishing boats taking turns to get into the jetty, and unload all the fishes they caught, then they sort and load them back onto lorries to send it out of town (pic 1 & 2)
- You can go to the any jetty around the village and see the process. Some jetties also sell their freshly caught on the spot
- The iconic Wishing Tree (pic 10)
- Fresh coconut & mangoes sold by friendly locals, and they’re cheap!
- Insta-worthy photo spots with boats, swings by the beach.
- atv ride is so cheap here! it’s only RM20 for 20 minutes.

💡 Tips:
- Best visited around sunset for cooler weather and amazing sky colors 🌅
- Bring cash 💵 — many stalls are cash-only
- Combine with a trip to the Sekinchan paddy gallery or Sky Mirror (Kuala Selangor) for a full-day trip!

✅ Easy to reach from KL (around 1.5–2 hrs drive). Peaceful, slow-paced, and a great short escape!
