Lawang Sewu, although literally means a thousand doors, in fact this site only has 928 doors. Previously, people and media often portray this site as a mystical building, while actually Lawang Sewu is a train museum. Beside its beautiful architecture, you also can sightsee many miniature and learn the history of train stations in Indonesia.
Recommended time to spend : 1-2 hours. It is also suitable for kids and elder people. Lawang Sewu also located in the downtown of Semarang, takes only 5 minutes riding motorbike to the famous Simpang Lima.
