The Maldives of Asia

Semporna is known internationally as the Maldives of Asia because it has the wooden houses built in the same way over the ocean, it has turquoise blue water, healthy coral and an abundance of sea life.

These photos are on Mabul island and is usually sold as “Package B” which comprises of a day trip covering two destinations.

Mabul island has a number of bungalows built on the water, a bar and a restaurant. Unless booked to stay overnight, a two hour visit to take photos and explore the environment is included in the package.
