The Aoba Shrine 青葉神社

A very old shrine but well maintained. Visited this place during weekdays so it was nice and quiet. It's about a 10 minute walk from Kita Sendai Station. It is located in the Kitayama area of Sendai. The large white stone torii gate was rebuilt in 2014, after the previous one collapsed in the Great East Japan Earthquake. After passing through the torii gate, there is a long staircase. Visit the shrine with gratitude. I received a simple handwritten stamp.
