Miyagi Prefecture Gokoku Shrine

Gokoku Shrine is located next to the ruins of Sendai Castle and is one of the six-pointed stars of Date Masamune. The other five locations are Sendai Toshogu Shrine, Tsutsujigaoka Tenmangu Shrine, Atago Shrine, Aoba Shrine, and Osaki Hachimangu Shrine. The contrast between the vermilion and the greenery of Aobayama is very beautiful at Miyagi Prefecture Gokoku Shrine, which was built by Emperor Meiji to commemorate the lives lost in various wars.
