I visited Sendai, a city rich in history and gourmet delights, and it was a truly satisfying trip.
First, I went to Zuihoden, the mausoleum of Date Masamune. The vibrant and beautiful decorations, along with the serene atmosphere, left a strong impression on me. It’s a special place where you can feel the history of Sendai.
Of course, I couldn’t miss the famous beef tongue. Grilled over charcoal, the beef tongue was fragrant and flavorful, with every bite bursting with umami—truly the authentic taste of Sendai!
For dessert, I had Sendai’s specialty, Zunda Mochi. The gentle sweetness of the edamame paired perfectly with the chewy mochi, making it so delicious that I couldn’t resist having seconds.
Sendai is a city where you can enjoy both history and cuisine. It’s a place I’d love to visit again in a different season!
