After climbing Mount Bromo and flying from Surabaya to Lombok Island, it was five in the afternoon. (No time difference with Beijing time) It took more than an hour by taxi to get to the hotel in Senggigi.
The hotel we booked in Senggigi is Qunci Villas, owned by a South African. Every detail of the hotel is meticulously designed, not only the architecture and furnishings but also the placement of various flowers and plants, all reflecting a sense of Zen. The materials for the buildings and designs come from local and Balinese stones and wood. The hotel has three restaurants, with breakfast being free to order, and for lunch and dinner, you can choose between Asian cuisine, seafood, or an Italian restaurant.
Each guest room is either the ground floor or the upper floor of a standalone villa, divided into sea view and garden rooms. The hotel has three swimming pools, with the one near the Italian restaurant NOOQ being adults-only. Below the stone steps is the sea. The water of the Indian Ocean is very clear, and the waves in Senggigi are relatively gentle, suitable for beginner surfers.
The hotel staff are very warm and polite. Generally, there are more tourists watching the sunset in the evening, so if you want to have dinner by the sea, you need to book a spot in advance.
This is a great place for tourism and leisure, where you can quietly enjoy the blue sky, white clouds, and sea breeze.
