The Sanfang Mountain Range was eroded as it extended toward the coast, resembling a dragon head reaching into the sea, hence the name Dragon Head Coast. There are sandstone layers here that have accumulated over tens of millions of years. The deep caves shaped like rooms and the eroded layers in the wide rock walls are piled up in beautiful curves, creating a spectacular view. On the way to the coast, there is the "Hamel Drifting Monument", which was built to commemorate Hamel who drifted here in 1653 and lived here.
