Jeongbang (정방폭포) is the only waterfall in Korea that falls directly into the sea.
It's located on Jeju Island, and if you've seen photos of water literally cascading over a cliff into the ocean, this is it.
The place is considered to be energetically very powerful. According to legend, an envoy of the Chinese emperor stopped here while seeking the elixir of immortality—and since then, people have come to the waterfall for strength, purification, and good fortune.
The sound of the water mingles with the salty air of the sea, and it feels like you're not in a tourist spot, but on the border between worlds—where the water hasn't yet decided whether it's a river or an ocean.
Nearby, grandmothers cook seafood right on the rocks; you can eat it raw and wash it down with Soju 😉
