Myeongdong Cathedral is a quiet sanctuary located in the middle of Seoul's bustling downtown. I visited on December 24th for Christmas Mass, and the sight of the 45m tall bell tower turning golden as the sun began to set was particularly impressive. As I entered the cathedral, the soft light shining through the stained glass and the grandeur of the arched ceiling took my breath away. I could feel the weight of history as I looked at the remains of the martyrs enshrined in the underground sanctuary.

Find peace of mind here, a place that preserves a sense of peace different from the busy streets of Myeongdong. It was great to sit on the steps in front of the cathedral on a snowy winter night and drink warm hot chocolate while making memories!
