Traditional and modern charms found around Bukchon Chilgyeong
This afternoon, I walked around Bukchon Yukgyeong and discovered the quiet scenery and unique spaces of Hanok. As I walked along the alleys lined with traditional Hanoks, the decorated interiors of Hanoks that I saw as a child made me feel like I had traveled back in time.
📌 Points for solo travelers
Recommended experience: Experience making traditional crafts at a Hanok workshop
Hidden spot: Small garden and window seat → A good place to take pictures while quietly contemplating
Recommended snack: Handmade dessert and warm tea set sold at Bukchon cafe (7,000 won)
🚨 Notes
Be careful when walking because the alleys are narrow
Some Hanoks are private residences, so entry is prohibited
Consider the privacy of residents when taking pictures
At around 5 o'clock, I finished the day by looking at the Hanok roofs and alleys bathed in the sunset. The area around Bukchon Yukgyeong is a special space where tradition and modernity coexist, so I think you'll be able to feel a new charm every time the season changes! If I have time someday! I don't know when that will be, but ㅋㅋ!!!! 🌸
