The main museum of the Samsung company

The Leeum Museum is located in a picturesque place on Mount Namsan, with a wonderful view of the Han River. Here you can see not only Korean works of traditional and modern art, but also foreign classical and modern works. The gallery building and the space inside are also of interest: they were designed by world-famous architects Mario Botta (Sweden) and Sean Novel (France).

The gallery is thematically divided into two sectors: the past and the present. The exhibition exposition of the first sector is dedicated to Korean writing, paintings, ceramics, and metal crafts. The museum's collection is considered the best in Korea: it consists of 120 exhibits, covering the period from ancient times to the Joseon Dynasty.
The second sector of the gallery offers visitors to get acquainted with modern works by Korean and foreign authors, among which are works by such famous masters as Josef Albers and Francis Bacon.

Temporary exhibitions are also periodically held here, attracting a lot of public attention. In 2023, for example, the museum hosted the famous exhibition '𝙒𝙀' by Maurizio Cattelan, the author of the sensational art object "The Comedian" in the form of a banana on tape.
