✅Gyeongbokgung Palace is the most popular attraction in Seoul, Korea, and a great representation of Korean culture.
If you stay in Dongdaemun, you might use these directions to get to Gyeongbokgung Palace.
Directions:
Start at Dongdaemun Station (동대문역):
Take Line 1 (Blue Line) at Dongdaemun Station (Exit 1 or 2).
Travel towards Sinchang Station:
Ride for 4 stops and get off at Jongno 3-ga Station (종로3가역).
Transfer to Line 5 (Purple Line):
At Jongno 3-ga Station, change to Line 5 (Purple Line) towards Banghwa.
Arrive at Gyeongbokgung Station (경복궁역):
Ride 1 stop and get off at Gyeongbokgung Station (Exit 5).
The palace is a short walk from the station.
Train budget around ₩3,000 (round trip)
If you rent hanbok the entrance to the palace is free.
Hanbok rent fee around ₩10,000- ₩15,000
We had lunch at an Iftar restaurant near the palace. You can use Naver Maps to get there. The food prices range from ₩10,000 to ₩13,000.
